About:
My name is Tony Wu. I am a game designer and a Master of Fine Arts graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas. My reason for becoming a game designer is because games are a huge part of my life! When I am not playing games, designing games or working on school game projects, I can be found training for competitive fighting game tournaments. I also host local and regional fighting game tournaments, and pub quizzes on the side.

Portfolio:
-Diablo III-

I worked as a game system design intern at Blizzard Entertainment on Diablo III. While there, I performed various design tasks such as character/monster skill creation and balance, unique item creation, and I also assisted in the continued development of player-versus-player interactions.

And the Heavens Shall Tremble.

-Castleville-

I worked as a game design intern at Zynga Dallas on the Castleville facebook game. While at Zynga Dallas, I assisted in the development of various social gaming elements and contributed to the creation of in-game story elements and content.

Look for Castleville coming soon to Facebook.

-Space Cadet-
Space Cadet Play Video
Space Cadet is a web and mobile based learning game designed for the national STEM video game challenge. It aims to teach kids at the kindergarten level some basic math concepts such as length, height, and size differences. Space Cadet takes the basic concepts from games like Scorched Earth and adds learning elements to create a fun and educational experience. This is the prototype my team and I came up with.

I designed Space Cadet and worked as the gameplay designer on this project along with three other students.

-Wild Aces-

Wild Aces is a sidescrolling combo-centric combat shooter game that aims to capture the feel of old school side-scrollers while updating the sidescrolling genre with better combat mechanics and a more in-depth gameplay. Wild Aces features a combat system that uses juggle based combo attacks, powerup system based off of pokerhands, and a steam punk-meets-western setting.

I designed Wild Aces and worked as the creative director on this project along with a team of students.

-First-Person Cultural Trainer (FPCT)-
